It stimulates the synthesis of ceramides, intercellular cement, which restores the skin's barrier function; it reduces transepidermal water loss. Through its dual action, moisture-retention of water loss, the skin is optimally hydrated, the physiological process of desquamation is normalized, the skin's micro-relief is improved, and fine lines are diminished.
